Title: The Big Adventure - Chapter One
This car ride will be fun said Aurora to me. I don't know Aurora, the car ride to Canada is long I said. How long is it she asked? It is six hours I said. Finally after three hours we were at the border. How much longer until we are there Aurora whined. I told you Aurora now it is three hours. After three more hours we were finally there.
It was almost sunset when we got to my cabin. We had to unpack and go to bed but Aurora didn't want to. Finally her parents got her to bed.
The next morning when we woke up we heard a loud buzzing noise. We got dressed to go see what it was and it was a boat. Speaking of boats Aurora I said let's go tubing. We got our life jackets on and got onto the tubes. We were having a fun time tubing when all of the sudden my Dad said hang on, but Aurora wasn't listening and got thrown off of her tube. Then her little brother who was too young to tube but was spotting said Stop the Boat! My Dad stopped the boat, I jumped off my tube and started screaming Aurora where are you! Wait my Dad said get back on your tube we will go slow
and find her.
We drove a long way, but there was no Aurora. I began getting scared. Since it was hard to get back on a tube when you were in the water I got into the boat. The sun was beginning to set. My Dad started getting worried too. We drove back to the cabin, got Aurora's Dad and he got another boat.
We went back to the tubing spot and still there was nothing to be found. Then I had a good idea. Let's go the way the wind was blowing I said, that's where Aurora will be. So we went to a beach and something bright and colorful was on the beach. We drove up closer and it was Aurora. She was screaming for help. We went back to the cabin and dried her off.
There was a nice rock to sit on so Aurora and I went there. Everyone was so happy she was back. I asked her, how did you get way over by that beach? I kind of paddled and the wind was strong she said. Our first day was almost over and the big adventure had begun.
