Title: Every 'Dour Has His Day
Houndour had never been outside the fence he had been born in. He and his littermates were bred on a Houndoom farm just outside Cherrygrove City. Often Houndour wondered what it was like ouside the fence. Then one day, Houndour noticed a small hole a Ratatta
had dug under the fence. This was his chance to escape. Quickly, Houndour dug the hole bigger and deeper. His little puppy body wriggled with ease through the hole and he ran down to the Miltank Pasture. He was free.Houndour looked around. The lush grass swayed with wind under his paws. 'Just for today,'thought Houndour happily. He leapt into the air. The breezes seemed to suspend him in the air for a joyouse split second, then Houndour tumbled down and hit earth. Dizzy, Houndour spun in his place, then, quick as lightning, went up on his haunches, threw his head back and let out a ball of fire, shooting it through the sky and up into the brightness of the day. Houndour smiled at his fire careening out of sight. Suddenly a huge Miltank stepped onto his tail. The little pokemon gave a cry and jumped, then eyed the Miltank. The Miltank proved exceedingly boring, and Houndour inquired,' Do you graze constantly every day?' The Miltank, seeminly busy, nodded. Houndour decided it might like a change, and chased it around the pasture. It was great fun for Houndour, but the Miltank liked to have died. It didn't, however, for the Houndoom Farmer's daughter came running down the feild and retreived Houndour in her arms. 'You bad thing,' she scolded gently, and towed Houndour caressingly back to the farm. It was dusk now, and Houndour smiled goodbye to the pasture. 'Just for today...'
