Title: Kat's Pokemon Journey
'What? Yes, I think Pikachu is a cute Pokemon. Please pass the strawberries.' I said in my sleep. My friend, Rita, called across the table, 'Kat, it's time to wake up!' 'What?' I asked. 'But it's 12:00 in the afternoon!' 'Kat?' repeated Rita. My mom shook me out of my sleep.'Go away, Mom,' I said. 'It's not time for school yet.' 'But you have to go and get a Pokemon with Gary today, remember?' 'No,' I lied. 'Well, your brother already left,' said Mom. 'Now I remember!' I cried, jumping out of bed and throwing myself into my closet. I got dressed hurriedly and ran downstairs. 'Hi Mom! 'Bye, Mom!' I cried, shoving a piece of toast in my mouth and running out of the door. I ran down the road faster than I ever had. When I got to Grandpa's lab, Gary was not there. But one of Gary's classmates, Ash, was standing in front of the lab in his pajamas. I hid. Ash didn't like Gary, and I didn't want to get into anything. I peeked around the corner. Ash was grumbling. Then Grandpa came outside. 'Ash?' 'Oh, hi, Professor Oak! Where's my Pokemon?' 'You look ready for bed.' 'There was a little mix-up today, but beleive me, I'm ready.' 'If you say so,' said Grandpa, leading Ash inside. I went to a window to see which Pokemon Ash would choose. First he went to Squirtle's Poke Ball. It was empty. Then Bulbasaur. Empty. Charmander? You guessed it. They talked for a bit, then Grandpa pressed a button on the machine. A Poke Ball popped up. Then a Pikachu popped out. Some more people came, so I don't know what happened next. But then Ash and the others left, and I went into Grandpa's lab. 'Hi, Kat. Something weird happened just now, so I'm not really in the mood for a visit, but here's your Pokemon.' He handed me a Poke Ball. A cute furry Pokemon popped out. 'Meowth!' it said. To find out what happens next, read 'Kat's Pokemon Journey: Chapter Two' Coming soon!
