Chapter 7: Jessie and James' Motto: Now Our Motto
We walked on through the grass. All of a sudden, a bright light blinded me. 'Prepare for . . .' 'Wait!' I interupted. 'We have an extra special surprise. Listen!' 'Prepare for trouble,' said Silver, in a stupid voice. 'Make it double,' I said, stupidly too. 'To protect the world from devastation,' Ash said. We were all acting stupid. 'To unite all people within our nation,' said Misty. 'To denounce the evils of truth and love,' said Brock. 'To extend our reach to the stars above,' said Silver. 'Crystal! Silver! Ash! Misty! Brock! Nick! Erika!' we all screamed. 'Team Pocket! Blast off at the speed of light!' said Nick, glad he gave Team Rocket a new name. 'Surrender now or prepare to fight!' we yelled. 'Pikachu! Pika . . . CHU!' shouted the Pikachus we had, falling on their backs, bottoms, and faces when they yelled. Team Pocket left because they probably wanted a new motto now. 'Let's listen to their motto every time they get a new one, and I'll write it down so we can remember it, and then we can goof up on it so they'll leave us alone,' I said. 'I doubt it will work, and I doubt they'll get a new motto. I hope Team Rocket leaves us alone. When Crystal's Pichu evolves, it will be Pikachu,' said Silver. 'So they wouldn't be after her.' 'Team Rocket's after my Pikachu because the first time they saw it, they said, 'Oh, well that Pikachu is mighty 'shocking'! We better catch it for the boss! He'd be super happy if we gave him that rare Pikachu!' They'll be after any Pokémon they can find. Any Pikachu, Pichu, Chikorita . . . we've gotta be careful. Anytime, anyplace. You get the idea,' said Ash. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement. Nick kept on nodding it vigorously until he fell on his face. 'OW!' he said. I walked ahead of everybody. We came to a large gap. 'It looks as if the hole might go on forever,' said Erika. 'Go, Pidgeot!' Ash and I said. 'Carry us over the hole!'
