Title: The Secret Passage (Chapter 14: The Last Straw)

We were walking again. Erika was complaining, but I hardly noticed. The path we were walking down was too nice to notice. 'Let's stop and rest, everybody,' I said. 'Okay,' said Misty. 'It's a really nice place.' 'Let's let our Pokémon out to get some fresh air,' said Ash. 'That's a great idea!' said Silver. Flash! He released his Pokémon. 'Okay everybody, come on out!' I shouted as I threw 3 Poké Balls into the air. Flash! Out came Blaze, Flyer, and Ratty. Volty started to play chase with Silver's Rattata. Splotchy was playing tag with Totodile, Sentret, and Geodude. Blaze, Shelly, Flyer, and Ratty started to play hide and seek with Jigglypuff and Pidgey. Ash let out his Pokémon. Then Misty. Nick. Brock. Erika. All of our Pokémon were playing happily. I looked over at the little lake by the path. 'Togi togi!' Gurgle . . . 'Togi togi!' I heard Shelly shout. Oh no! Erika had pushed Shelly into the lake! I jumped into the lake and swam over to Shelly. 'It's okay, Shelly. Settle down,' I said, as I picked my baby Pokémon and set it on the shore. I climbed out of the lake and dried Shelly off. Erika was sitting in a tree, laughing really hard. 'Erika,' I said. 'That's the last straw. Get down here right now.' Erika climbed down the tree. I shoved her into the lake. Erika came up. 'Crystal!' she shouted. 'Why on earth did you do that?' 'Because, Erika,' I said. I walked away from the lake. Who's laughing now? I thought. Erika jumped out of the lake. 'Cyndaquil,' she said. Flyer came over to me. I got on its back. 'Fire Blast!' Erika shouted. Cyndaquil shot a stream of fire at us. 'Flyer, fly!' Flyer flew up into the air, right above the flames. Cyndaquil's fire blast dissolved into the air. 'Cyndaquil, aim it higher!' shouted Erika. Cyndaquil aimed its fire higher - right at us. The flame was coming fast. 'Flyer!' I cried. Flyer flew up just in time. The fire blasts and dodges continued. By the time any of the flames got close to us, Cyndaquil and Flyer were exhausted. Flyer flew over to a tree with all of the energy it could use. I jumped onto a branch. 'Flyer, return!' I said. Flyer disappeared into its Poké Ball in a flash of light. I was really angry at Erika now. What was she going to try next? I didn't know, but she looked like she was ready to destroy anyone. (Continued Soon)
