Title: The Big Adventure - Chapter Two

The next morning Aurora and I woke up and went to breakfast. Everyone was still kind of frightened about what happened on the tube. We had homemade blueberry dougnuts for breakfast. Aurora had finished her fourth doughnut. I want another one she said, but they are all gone I said. Well I am full Aurora said, let's go play outside.

We went to the minnow lake even though we oculdn't get minnows for fishing it was still fun. All of the sudden I heard a big bang. Water was going everywhere. Oh no it's the beaver dam I said. What's the beaver dam? said Aurora. It's a long story I said. This happened once before. Once the creek needed to get drained and some men blew up the beaver dam. Later they fixed it but it wasn't good enough. Go fast Aurora I said, it's going to blow any second. I grabbed our new puppies and ran. I jumped into our truck, there my dad, Aurora's dad and Teddy were all safe. Aurora's dad said where is Aurora?

All of the sudden in the back I saw my swimming suit and fun noodle. I'm going to save her I said. Quickly I got on my bathing suit, grabbed my puppy and jumped out the door. I saw Aurora hanging onto a log. She looked very scared. I saw a very good thing it was my big dog. I grabbed onto his tail and he towed me to Aurora. I didn't quite make it because my new puppy was getting sick. My big dog who's name is Tippy pulled me and my puppy to safety. Tippy pulled us to the truck so i could dry off the puppy. Aurora's brother held my puppy in a towel while I got my kickboard. Tippy started pulling me to Aurora again. I got to Aurora safely. A big wave was coming towards us and pushed us onto dry land. We ran back to the truck and got in.

We drove back to the cabin. My puppy was better but Aurora was sick. We dried her off and went down to the warm rock. I gave her my parasol which is like an umberlla for shade. We hoped the warm rock would warm her but it didn't. She threw up and we gave her some medicine and put her to bed. I was worried but I know that sleep was the best thing for her. I hoped that in the morning she would feel better.
