Title: The Secret Passage (The Radio Tower Continued)
'Well, I just happened to turn on my radio right outside of here,' I said. 'Wow!' repeated Buena. 'I'll give you a free point for coming in first! But first I'll give you a Blue Card to save your points on.' She handed me a little blue card that had the number one on it. 'Okay! Join the show! What's your name?' 'Crystal,' I said. 'Okay Crystal! Join the show!' I sat down in the chair next to her. She put us on air. 'Okay! I want to hear Crystal shout out today's password for me! Is it Vermilion City, Violet City, or Viridian City?' 'Viridian City,' I said. 'Yippee! You did tune in! Here's one point!' I looked at my card. The number had changed to two. 'You can cash in your saved points for a prize with that nice young lady in the corner.' Buena pointed to a girl standing in one corner of the cubicle. 'Okay, all you other trainers! Come on up! I'll be waiting!' I walked over to the girl in the corner. 'Hi!' I said. I looked at a little list on the wall. 'How about . . . Rare Candy?' I asked. 'Here you go!' the girl handed me a bag full of red and blue candy. 'Thanks!' I said. I let my Pokémon out of their Poké Balls and gave each of them two pieces of candy. 'Vee vee!' said Eevee. It glowed brightly. Eevee was gone. Instead, a lavender Pokémon stood in its place. 'What is it?' Nick asked. 'Beats me,' said Brock, which was quite surprising. I laughed and pulled out my Pokédex. 'Espeon,' said the computerized voice. 'It uses the fine hair that covers its body to sense air currents and predict the enemies actions.' 'I've always adored Espeons,' I said. 'Well, let's get going,' said Nick. 'We've got to get to Ecruteak City and beat the tar out of Morty, the Gym leader. 'Good idea,' I said. 'Look out Morty, 'cause we're on our way!'
