Title: Mt. Verno
Chapter 1
It was our and school field trip, this year to Mt. Verno. I read in our history books that there were caves up there that have old mines in them. My friends told me legend about how there was ghosts, of the miners who died there when the mine caved in there, in the caves. I didn't believe it at first but I was a bit freaked-out because the day we were taking our field trip was All Hallo's Eve.
I didn't want to ruin this cool field trip by being freaked-out so I put myself into training. I got my mom to sign me up for karate and yoga classes to prepare me to fight or calm myself. Also I went, everyday, to someplace that would freak me out fro one hour. One day it would be the old Trechor Manor and the next it would be the run-down library on the outskirts of town. Whatever it toook to not be afraid, I would do it.
The day before the field trip, I was really stressed out. What if I wasn't ready to face the cave. My teacher told us that if it rains we will haev to go inside the cave for shelter but so far the weather looks like it will be perfect so I guess it's not that bad.
