Title: Brianne's Pokémon Journey (Volume One)
I was sitting there on Akira's couch. Just then I realized that it was 9:30. I was 1/2 an hour late for getting a Pokémon! I skidded to a stop at the lab. 'What took you, Brianne?' asked my sister, Crystal. 'I wasn't thinking!' I said, catching my breath. 'Either way, we have to get a Pokémon now,' Akira said, knocking. A man wearing a lab coat answered the door. 'I knew you would come,' he said, directing us inside. 'Oh, I promised my granddaughter, Erin, that she could get the first Pokémon,' he added. Just then, a girl walked in. She had blonde hair and green eyes. 'Hmm,' said Erin. 'I'll take Chikorita,' she said. She pushed a button on the green Poké Ball. Out popped a green Pokémon with a leaf on its head. 'Thanks, Gramps!' said Erin, putting her Pokémon back. 'I think before I head out, I'll see which Pokémon they get, and Todd is coming by to get his later,' she added. 'I'll take Cyndaquil,' said Akira. 'And the Totodile is mine!' sang Crystal. I nearly melted. 'What about me?'
I could tell that Erin was trying to hold a laugh. 'There's still one Pokémon, but I'm concerned,' said Prof. Elm. 'I'll take it,' I said. 'Okay.' Prof. Elm shrugged. He pulled a lever and a Poké Ball popped up in the center of the table. Everyone was staring. I picked up the ball and tossed it in. There was a flash of light. When we could see, there was a Pokémon standing at my feet. 'Jigglypuff?' I asked. Prof. Elm laughed. 'Close. Its an Igglybuff. It evolves into a Jigglypuff, though.' I still looked confused. 'Why are you concerned about it?' I asked. 'Because its very liable to roll, and it can't stop rolling once it starts. It bounces across the room until somebody catches it!' said Prof. Elm. 'Oh,' I said. 'Then if you do start rolling, I'll catch you as soon as possible,' I said to Igglybuff. 'I'll trade,' said Erin jealously. 'No,' I said. 'I'll never trade it to you!' Erin was steaming. 'Hand over Igglybuff!'
