she screamed, grabbing for Igglybuff. Before I could take the time to think, I had shouted out, 'Igglybuff, Sing!' So it started singing. 'Igglybuff, iggly, igglybuff,' it sang. The next thing I knew, everyone (except for Igglybuff and I) were asleep. Now who was steaming? Igglybuff dug into my backpack and pulled out a black magic marker. Before I could stop it, it had drawn a mustache and glasses on each person. I frowned. 'Igglybuff!' I scolded. 'You did a bad thing! You can draw on Erin, but not the others!' Igglybuff woke up Prof. Elm, Akira and Crystal, apologized, and told them to wash their faces. But they weren't mad. They laughed at the silly idea of drawing another face on your own face. When Erin woke up, she was still angry at me, but she was even more angry when she found out that my Pokémon had drawn on her face. 'Come on, let's battle our Pokémon to see who's is stronger!' she challenged. 'Okay.' I shrugged. 'Chikorita!' cried Erin, releasing Chikorita. 'Igglybuff!' I directed Igglybuff to battle. 'Chikorita, Razor Leaf!' 'Igglybuff, evade and Double Slap!' Igglybuff stood its ground as the leaves zoomed toward it. 'Now, Igglybuff!' Igglybuff dodged each leaf then raced up to Chikorita and slapped it hard 10 times. Chikorita was both dazed and hurt. It fell over. I won the match! Erin recalled her Pokémon and walked away. 'I'll beat you next time, and I'll get Igglybuff,' she muttered. I laughed and yelled, 'You wish, Erin!' My first battle had been a victory!* 2 B Continued!
