Title: Destiny and Contempt
It is within
Within me.
Not a dream
Some fools idea
Or a fledgling strength.
Unlocking secrets may be
What some seek
Yet in reality it
Fails in doing.
Not some great quest
Yet in a sense
It is.
To see beyond what life offers
To excell and be great
When others will fail.
To remember the times of trial
And to hold all others in contempt.
Contempt
Not worthy.
Holding the world in contempt as
My enemy and opponent.
None will stay near me for
I battle alone.
Yet when it's all over
Time and time again will see
Friendship and kindness
I cannot keep this veil I want.
Though my dream will defeat the world
Perhaps all in all
It will only last
As another dream in someone else's life.
But maybe I will continue on
A legend of hope to those who come
Down the path of excellence before their
'Time' is said to happen and be.
I do not understand the ones
Who cannot choose one thing to do.
They laugh and enjoy and waste their time
Little time in all.
Little time what they have is spent
On hours of foolish nonsense.
No I cannot understand them.
But I won't expect all
To comprehend the things I want to.
I have a dream and
Mean to pursue it.
Whether or not these trials of fire
Stand in my way.
No, it's not a dream.
It is destiny.
