Chapter 1
Harry awoke with the sun shining on his face. He put on his glasses and quickly looked at the clock that was by his bed side. He groaned and looked around the room. The thing is, Harry isn't what you would call normal. Harry was a wizard, fresh from his fourth year attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His Aunt and Uncle clearly thought that he was abnormal. They hardly talked to Harry, but he didn't mind.
Harry got up and crossed his room. He looked at his table, which contained essays for Potions, History of Magic, and Transfiguration. He also looked at Hegwig's cage, his owl, and looked at his wand which was laying near his History of Magic Essay. He looked out the window to see a clear summer sky and saw four owls winging towards his window. One of them, was his own, Hedwig. He opened the window for the owls to come in. He saw that three of them were from his friends, Ron, Hermione and Hagrid, the gamekeeper at Hogwarts. The other contained an important letter from Hogwarts. He opened this first.
'Dear Mr.Potter,
We are pleased to announce that this year you and your classmates shall be traveling to the Untied States of America. You must have the permission slip enclosed signed by your parent or guardian.
Professor M. McGonagall.'
Harry's heart sank quicker than a cement block.
