Title: Cape Ri Astonauts Band: Part Three: Gaho`s Past: T
In my past, I had been so juvenile you wouldn`t beleive. I was worse than Niriaki. But I hadn't been like that until I was nine. It started when I was eight. My mom and dad had been fighting for a long time then, and it was upsetting me a lot. Then one night, my dad packed his bags and snuck out. The next morning, I found a note on my end table. In my dad's shaky writing it read:
Gaho,
I'm sorry. I had to leave. It`s too much to stay here and
fight with your mom. Well, 'bye.
Love,
Dad
P.S: I might come back.
But he never came back. That was the year I 'went bad.' I started picking on little kids and hung out with a bad crowd. Then one day, when I was ten, I literally bumped into Raicho at Granite Park. We got to talking, and she told me about her group of friends who searched for UFOs. She also told me that I could come to the next meeting and join, maybe. But there was one flaw - to join, you had to tell your life history. I did one thing - told the truth. As soon as I was finished, everyone started howling their protest - except for Raicho and Psychic Matabei. 'Shut up!' was Leader Raicho's statement. 'Listen, he`s joining.' To tell the truth, I'm kinda jealous of her power over the group. Matabei said (without opening an eye), 'I see that Gaho here is already showing remarkable improvement from these past years.' Raicho and I both burst into huge grins. 'He`s joining,' said Raicho. I was overjoyed. That was the moment that I found the good side of me. From then on, I turned over a new leaf. I dumped my old friends, stopped picking on little kids, and basically . . . let's see . . . um . . . well . . . 'went good.' I became a close friend to both Okakura and Raicho and earned everyone`s trust. And when Raicho couldn`t get a message to the group, I delivered it instead. Raicho trusted me so much that she even showed me how to do something that she hadn't shown a soul - and I mean a soul - how to do - ride on the clouds at Crystal Oasis. I like riding them when they`re tigers. It makes me feel like I accomplished something, sorta. But anyone can see that Raicho and I are the best of friends. Aside from Okakura and I, that is. Well, I guess we`re all friends in CRAB Association.
