Title: The Hidden Statue- Chapter 4
When Casey finally awoke, he was still bound and gagged, but he could see alright, if you didn't count the fact that the little room he was imprisoned in was almost comepletely dark. He struggled to get free, but the rope was tight, too tight. He gave up and allowed his body to flop over.
But all of a sudden, Casey felt something tickling his wrist. He looked over his shoulder and noticed with surprise that a mouse was nibbling at the rope that bound him. The little brown mouse chomped once more, and the rope broke. Casey held out his hand, and the mouse jumped on. Digging in his pocket with his free hand, Casey pulled out- a piece of his sister's parrot's birdseed, which he fed to the mouse. The mouse scampered away with his little treasure, and Casey went to the next matter of business- getting out.
As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, Casey found that he wasn't really in a closet, as it had seemed, but was standing in the middle of what seemed like a little chapel. He started toward the door and when he flung it open, he saw, in the middle of the town green...
