Title: Why? By Rebecca Schwarts, age 14 (This is How I Fe

I stare up at the sky
And see clouds flying by
And I think to myself, why?
Why am I here?
And why are you there?
And why should either of us even care?
If the clouds are flying by
Or if there`s a cloud in the sky
Or why the sky is up so high
And why should we care
What`s going on today
When we know the thoughts
Will bring us dismay
And why should we care
About war and shame
When we know the thoughts
Will just bring us pain
And why should I think
Of any one but me
When I have my own problems
I'm trying to flee
There are so many problems in the world today
It`s foolish to think we can keep them at bay
So people stare up at the sky
And watch clouds flying by
But I won't worry
'Till they stop asking why
