Title: Back-Burner Friend

You can get a job at Wendys,
And that's fine and dandy for me,
But one thing I know for certain,
Is that's the only thing you'll see,

You can have a part time job there,
Or work it constantly,
You can spend all your time there,
Just please~ don't forget me,

Being a friend isn't a part-time job,
It can't be ignored or let be,
The friendship will go up in flames,
If you don't act like a friend to me,

You don't understand my puzzlement,
You don't understand the job,
I can tell you forgot to read the fine print,
Because a friend isn't a part-time job,

You think I'm a possessive maniac,
When I object to your wandering off,
The contract is going up in flames,
My anger over the top,

I'm a back-burner friend to you,
I'm a replacement for someone else,
You use me 'as needed...'
I think I've had enough,
