Title: Dreams Come True
Kasey looked out of the door. She impatiently walked back and forth, wondering if they would get to her try-outs in time before it was her turn. She ran to the door, peeking outside again. Still not here. Kasey kept pacing back and forth, back and forth. She started to feel a lump rise in her throat. What if they didn't make it in time? Tears started to form in her eyes, and her heart began to throb faster.
'Kasey Bellman. You are up,' called a woman. Kasey looked up to that direction and sighed. Her mom wasn't here yet, and she promised! Slowly, Kasey walked to the try-out stage, shoulders slumped. After she walked inside, the woman closed the door behind her.
'Kasey Bellman? Why do you think you deserve the part for 'Anna' in our movie?' asked one of the judges.
'Well, I'm really good at acting. I can talk loud, and it would be a dream come true if I got the part,' Kasey answered. She was nervous, like any other 9-year-old would be. She fidgeted and trembled, afraid that she wouldn't get the part. If she didn't, it would at least be better that her mom was there.
'Have you had any acting experience?' asked another judge. Kasey nodded.
'I've been in tons of plays before. The majority of them, I've had a main character.'
The judges nodded, and after other questions, dismissed her from the room.
