Title: Cold and Dark
As I walked into the cave, I saw two
beady eyes looking at me. They were red and mean looking, like the owner of them was begging for trouble. Starting to sweat, I walked past, slowly, silently...scared.
I stared at the eyes, ready to run if the creature made a single step towards me. It growled. Trying not to scream, I walked backwards, never taking my eyes off of it's eyes. It started walking towards me.
I started to wimper like a dog. The creature was staying in the shadows to keep it's idenity concealed. I walked towards the exit. It followed, so confident. I looked tougher then I felt, I guess, because it backed away two steps.
I paused, looking over my shoulder. Nothing was there. I felt a chill go up my spine. "Goood creature. Goooood creature" I purred. It glared with those beady red eyes.
I pointed towards the dark shadow it had come out of. "Go back!" I said, tears flooding down my face. It stepped out of the shadows. I screamed.
You see, 2 years ago, my dog Zigg disapeared. Not like, it was taking a walk and never came back. It just disapeared. Inside my house. Now, I found him. I found Zigg. Or at least I think I found Zigg. The dog was covered with mud and scars.
"Zigg?" I whispered, starting to feel confidence boiling up in me. The creature stepped towards me. It came us so close I could feel its breath. I scratched it's ears and led him to a puddle.
Carefully, I washed the mud off of him. It was Zigg. I found my dog. The dog that I lost, 2 years ago. Inside my house.
