Title: The Lost Headband
It was a cold, winter day. Me and my friends decided to go to the creek. Maggie asked her sister if she could borrow her purple headband. She said it was alright, as long as she gave it back when she was done. She didn't need it right now, so she put it in her pocket. We started down the trail until we came to a bridge. We were all wondering what was on the other side, so we decided to go. Me and Emily were already across when we heard Maggie scream. We turned back and saw that her pocket was caught on the rail. We
ran over to help get her pocket off the rail. It was getting dark, and we still wanted to go sled-riding down the hill in the Church Parkinglot. We started toward the parkinglot. Maggie said she was cold, tired
and wanted to go home. She started down the road towards home. Me and Emily started down the hill, when we heard Maggie shout,'Emily!
Rachael! I can't find the headband!' Me and Emily looked at each other. We grabbed our sleds and started towards Maggie. We searched the road until it was dark. We all
agreed that the headband was lost. Emily,
Maggie's sister, said that she did not need to apologize for the headband. A few weeks later, while Maggie was at piano practice, me and Emily decided to go to the creek. We
went to the same bridge Maggie got her pocket stuck on. We looked at the rail and saw something wet and coverered with snow. We took a stick and picked it up. It was the purple headband! We ran up the trail to show Maggie. Then Emily stopped and looked at me. I said,'What is it? What's wrong?' She said,'Do you dare me to throw the headband in the water?' I looked at her and told her that she wouldn't. Not after we just found it. But with a flick of her wrist, she tossed it in. I couldn't believe it. After all the work looking for it, she did it. We
looked at the headband. It was flowing downstream! We ran down the path, following it. We followed it until it got stuck on a stick. The only way to get to it was to go through a huge jaguar bush. Emily looked at me and started to turn. I grabbed her coat and told her that she got me in to this mess
and she was going to get me out of it. We
