Chapter 1
Mysterious Happenings
It was a nice day out and my brother, Justin, and I were getting ready to go on our big, family camping trip. Each year we go to this small farm in Oklahoma. There are woods and we set up a tent in them and sleep there. This old man who owns the land allows us to because there is no other place to go camping and becasue we pay him ot let us.
My mom jammed us and everything that we needed into the car and off we went. It was a long drive to get there but not at all boring. We sang song and played 'I SPY'. It was actually fun!
Finally we arrived. Old Man Hatchet, the old man who owns the land, showed us to our camping spot. He had set up a tent because he needed to put a chemical on it that keeps animals away so we can be safe. My father payed him extra for doing that since 93'. Now, 10 years later my father still pays the old man.
That night I heard strange noises. It was like something banging. I got up and went to Old Man Hatchet's house and I saw him awake. He took out a gun and put it up to his head... I ran out from where I was hiding and screamed, 'Nooooooooooo!!!!!!' He disappeared. That never happened again so I could finally sleep at night. I would have to figure out what happened, though.
