Title: The Secret 3

Katie wondered why all of this was happening to her. There was nothing wrong, at east she thought there wasn't. She got up from the living room, and went to her room. Right when she closed the door, her phone rang. She ran over to it and answered.
'Hello?' Katie answered
'Hey, girl!' Katie heard her other friend's voice, Alexis. They called her Alex or Ally for short.
'Hey Alex. Do you know what's bothering Stacey? She's been so quiet and tense all day.'
'Sorry, Kate. I dunno. This morning she seemed fine to me. We were at the park. I was gonna invite you, but you had gymnastics practice this morning.'
'Well, she was really quiet when we played outside this afternoon. She didn't even want to go get ice cream!'
'Wow, sounds weird. And she wouldn't even tell you what was wrong? That doesn't sound like Stacey. She's such a happy and active girl.'
'No it doesn't,' Katie paused. She heard the same noise that she heard in the living room again. Katie felt like she was frozen. She couldn't move or breath, like time had stopped. She was aware that she was awake, but she couldn't budge. Katie attempted to jerk foward, but she couldn't. She saw a black figure move across her room. Katie felt like screaming or calling for help, but only a small moan escaped her mouth.
Suddenly, she lurged foward and landed face first on the floor.
'Katie? Hello?' Alex called. Alex must have been talking while she was stuck. 'Are you still breathing?'
'Sorry. I was just dazed off a little.'
'Well, I have to go and eat dinner. I'll call you tomorrow maybe. Bye!'
'Bye, Alex.' And they both hung up. Katie's heart pounded. Drops of sweat trickled from her forehead down to her cheek.
What was that? Katie wondered. Just a second ago, she couldn't move. She walked out of her room, afraid that something else might happen. She almost stepped on her cat, Frisky, but barely missed his tail. Katie carefully walked down the stairs, holding on to the railing. Usually, she jumped down the stairs, but now she wouldn't take any chances. Only her mom and dad were in the living room, watching old shows on T.V. Marc must have already gone to his room. She walked to the kitchen, got a rag, wet it with cold water, and rubbed her forehead lightly to cool herself off. She was too afraid to go in the bathroom, for she might see another bad image.
