Title: The Secret Room
Chapter 1
Finding It
The once was a young girl named Leot. She lived in France for most of her child hood but moved to America when she was eight years old. When she moved to America she was very afraid. It was the early 1940's and America had just gone to war with the Japanese. Certainly the Japanese would over power the Americans with the help of Hitler and Italy. But no one could be sure what the outcome of the was would be. Here the Americans had basically defeated Hitler and yet they were surprisingly attacked by the Japanese.
Even so Leot and her small family moved to America, hoping to regain what they had lost in France. Though some of what they lost in France was irriplaceable, they would soon replace what they had lost, a home, jobs, and many other things.
Leot now went to school. The school put her in a lower grade than she was supposed to be in but that didn't matter, what mattered was what her and her family were going to do without jobs. Leot had said she would work but her parents wouldn't let thier troubles get in the way of her education. So her parents went to local markets, and any place they could find to see if they needed help. Some of the places they went to said no but the factories were glad to see that there was finally a man around who wasn't busy at war so they offered a job with a salary of $5.00 a day. When Leot's father came home with the good news, everyone was excited and happy.
