Title: Our Own Enemies

Someday we will realize with horror,
That all through time we've been busy,
Becoming enemies as explorers,

We've become a dangerous hazard,
To ourselves and others,
Our own enemies from our guard,

We fear that we will die,
In shameful war or combat,
But our enemies don't need to try,

We are our own enemies.

We've been digging our own grave,
Inch by foot by mile,
And we thought we were brave,

We fight against our own,
Forgetting President Lincoln,
And what he said about a home,

He said that a house divided,
Cannot stand at all,
And on our secrecy it rided,

The sides of our nation's house,
Lie balanced on each other,
But with one startling rouse...

We'd be upon one another.

Our fear has turned us,
Into our own enemies,
But awarness will lessen the mess,

We need to know that fear,
Isn't a reason to become,
Enemies to anyone far or near,

Maybe in the near future our drastic pain,
Will show the government,
That unaware fear brings no gain,
