Title: Of Poetry, Life, and Death

Can't you understand?
Poetry not put into words.
Never explained
Can't be explained.
Plain speech can best describe yet
In poetry is life.

Poetry and poetry
First tongue and language of the bards.
To confuse and to guide all within
These different grounds of parchment.

Free verse not free expression,
I do not quite give in to what I feel.
But I will write what gives me joy
Yet never what is on my heart.

On my heart perhaps I will
Maybe for there is a difference.
But I cannot( and will not)
Tell the secrets of my flesh.

Do not write with what is called the heart
For it can only decieve you into
Anguish and flames.
Write with a fluid grace that
Speaks in a tongue yet not remained.

When fingers fly o'er the keys
Remember one thing as you do type.
That poetry is not just some words.
It is a language that
Will be believed.

So right not of misery and doubt
Unless that is your intention.
Let evil triumph never more
Yet let it say its piece.

The man of Poe was a true poet.
He wrote of misery and death
His deeds were dastardly and wrong.
Yet even in him there was some truth.
Follow his example in this one way:
Let not evil go unpunished in your words.
