Title: The Solemn Day
The day that the Potters died was a solemn day. Lord Voldemort was terrified that the people against him would bring him down. The Potters were some of these people, and that is why Lord Voldemort had to kill them. When he arrived at their house, James Potter tried to hold back Voldemort, but sadly, he failed, and was killed, and Voldemort moved onward. Suddenly, he heard crying and sad shrivels. He knew he'd found the last two potters. 'Ahh.Lilly,' he said,'how nice to see you again, unfortunately for the last time.' 'Get away,' she said, 'kill me, not my child!'
'Nice try, Lilly,' he said. And with that, he lifted his wand, and with an Adva Kadavra, she was dead. He tried the same curse on the newborn baby, Harry. But suddenly, the curse backfired on him, leaving Voldemort powerless, and mortally souless, and little Harry with only a lightning bolt scare on his forehaed forever.
The dark mark appeared above the Potter's house that night. The day the Potters died, and one little baby scared for life was a solemn day.
