Title: The powers that be: Chapter two
When Samathios woke up, she saw the tall, muscular figure of Stephos. His eyes were full of worry and hers were full of hope. Samathios was looking forward to her trip inside the temple and wondered how they would ‘teleport’ there. Samathios had only slightly been aware about these adventures: they were told to her when she was twelve by her parents after she received the crest piece; she was told of it in a history and had often wanted to take part in an exciting adventure of the like. She was told, by her parents, about Rae being defeated by five protctors and how the Shadow crest was made and what it was used for.
“It’s about time you woke up,” Stephos rudely commented. “It’s ten o’clock!” Stephos guided Samathios to the shower room. The shower room was quite small and had the crest symbols engraved into the cold stone walls. There were ancient writings and stone slabs cluttering one wall of the room. The shower was small and self-contained, it was white and had a waterproof shower curtain. “You can have a shower before we leave, whilst I prepare breakfast,” Stephos coldly commanded. Stephos walked out of the shower room and then in to the kitchen via the stairway.
Samathios turned on the shower and then multicoloured liquids floated out, some landed on her skin, others pelted themselves to the floor. Where the liquid landed on her skin a magical barrier was formed. Samathios felt stronger and rejuvinated after five minutes in the shower. She had only left the shower because it had turned itself off. She put on her clothes immediately as she left the shower because she absorbed all the magical moisture from the shower and need not waste time drying oneself.
