Title: Upside-down (part 7)
“It says here she lives on Helen’s Fairy Rd. That’s about a mile from here.” Tonya said. She was relieved that the street was close by.
“Tonya! Time for bed!” Tonya’s mother called.
“Just a second.”
“Now!”
“I’m going.” Tonya quickly shut down the computer. “Come on Allison. I have to go to bed.”
Allison shook her head and faded away. Tonya went to her room hoping that Allison was there. She wasn’t. Allison was gone.
“She’ll come back. She has got to. She needs my help.” Tonya whispered softly to herself as she got ready for bed.
“I wish I knew more about what was going on.” Tonya said, pulling the covers up to her neck. “I’ll just have to wait for her to return, whether I like it or not.”
Tonya waited for Allison to return for two weeks. She started to worry. “What will I do if Allison never returns?” thought Tonya. “Call the police? No. That won’t work. I hope she’s okay. I hope she’s still alive. How stupid am I? She’s not alive now. She’s a ghost. She’ll be fine.” Tonya’s thoughts were going crazy. Tonya was going haywire without Allison.
For the third week in a row, Tonya tucked herself into bed waiting for Allison’s return. Once she was in bed, she started reading The Zine. It was an old magazine issue, but Tonya didn’t care. She thought it was quite interesting. She was reading an article on the A*Teens, a music group, when the room got really cold. Tonya put down her magazine, turned off her lamp, then buried herself under the covers. Even though it was cold. Tonya tried to sleep, but couldn’t. She felt like she was being watched.
Suddenly, Tonya jumped out of bed. She felt like she was sleeping with ice! From the light coming from the hallway, Tonya could see the shape of a person under her sheets. Tonya quickly pulled the top sheet down.
At first sight it looked like Allison was in bed. When she looked again, she saw that it wasn’t.
