Title: Upside-down( part 12)

Tonya considered what the possible outcomes of the situation were. She didn’t like the sound of any of them.
“Migraine! Migraine!” Amber shouted. Then she pointed her finger at Allison and muttered some words under her breath. Allison started to fall. She grabbed onto Amber’s bellbottoms on her way down. Down, down they both plummeted. Just before they landed on the highway Amber let loose of Allison’s grip and she flew upward. Allison gathered enough strength to grab onto a light post and slide down.
There she was, stranded on a busy highway. She couldn’t show off her powers, not here, not now. If she did, she’d have to do it in a way that no one would notice.
Allison shut her eyes tightly and thought very hard about flying -- the wind in her hair and the freedom she felt, the lights below her, the hill and valleys calling her name. When she opened her eyes she was in the sky, not as a ghost, but as a bird.
Her black shredded dress, she wore no more. Her long brown hair no longer tickled her face. Instead she was a raven, soaring through the sky, not to be noticed by any cars going by.
“Transfiguration.” She shouted as she knocked Amber off the blimp.
“Hey! No fair!” Amber whined as she shot upward once more.
Allison was no longer paying attention to Amber. She was too busy transforming back into herself, a ghost. Once into her almost original form, she pointed at Amber and said some spell under her breath.
Amber stopped in mid-flight and just floated there with her chin on her chest and her eyes closed. She was motionless. Allison curled her outstretched fingers and Amber came closer. Closer and closer until she was right in front of Allison.
“Tonya! Aren’t you in bed yet?” Tonya’s dad called to her on his way to her room. Tonya scrambled into her bed and pulled the sheets over her face.
“Tonya, I know you’re not sleeping. I heard you moving around. What are you doing up at one-thirty in the morning?” he asked walking into her room.
