Title: Upside- down (part 13)
Tonya was getting better at lying in situations like this. I mean, do you expect her to tell her dad that she was looking at a blimp outside, wondering what two ghosts were doing?
“Tonya, I asked you a question.” Her dad said firmly.
Tonya sat up, “I thought I heard something outside, but it turned out to be the neighbor’s cat. When I heard you I thought I was going to be in trouble so I raced to my bed and, well, here I am.” Tonya smiled and laid back down.
As soon as Tonya heard her dad go back to his room, she jumped out of bed and planted herself in front of her window waiting for Allison’s return.
“It is now time for me to finally rest in peace. Once you’re gone I’ll have no worries.” Allison said to the motionless Amber. “Once I cast this spell on you, poof, no more Amber. Almost seems too easy, considering you can’t whine and complain while I banish you. Oh well.” Allison paused then recited the spell, “You have tried to haunt me, but it was my well being that…”
Amber snapped awake and sped off like a bullet towards Tonya’s house. Allison followed her. Instead of busting through the window and knocking Tonya off the window seat, Amber vanished outside the house then appeared inside Tonya’s room. She grabbed Tonya around the waist and appeared outside again.
It happened so fast. Tonya was in shock and couldn’t scream to Allison who was still following them. Amber traveled for a while then floated above a cemetery waiting for Allison to catch up.
“Can’t curse me now. You wouldn’t dare zap your little friend, would you?” Amber smirked, clutching Tonya even harder. Tonya began to yell and Amber stuck her hand in Tonya’s mouth, keeping her quiet.
“Allison, can you hear me?” Tonya thought, hoping Allison would read her thoughts. “I don’t care what you do to me, as long as you get to Amber I think I’ll be fine.”
Tonya hesitated then let out the truth in her thoughts. “I’m scared Allison. I know you won’t hurt me on purpose but I want you to. I want you to move me out of the way so you can get to Amber. You came to me because you knew I’d help. I’m helping now. Amber won’t be expecting it, so do it!”
Allison looked frightened. Tonya trusted her to do the right thing but at this point she didn’t know what was right.
