Title: Imbolc

If you didn't know, Imbolc is a Wiccan Sabbat that can be celebrated on February 1st or February 2nd. We celebrated Imbolc on the second. I got up really early in the morning. After getting ready for the day, I walked next door to my grandma's house to make moon cookies and bread. First we made the moon cookies. In all, we baked 48! Then we made the bread, it smelt like yeast and olive oil. While I was waiting for the bread to rise, I went outside into the field and picked a few of the first flowers. The flowers were a beautiful, vibrant yellow. I put them in a flower-print vase. My mom bought some yellow flowers from the store, too. That afternoon, my mom and I made buttermilk mashed potatoes. The night before, I had made mulled cider. For dinner, we had a glazed ham, the mashed potatoes, the cider, milk and bread. Desert was the moon cookies. Later at night, I performed my ritual for Imbolc. I had an excellent Imbolc.
