Title: A Summer Morning

I had just finished my book that night. It was four in the morning and I was wide awake. The book was very moving and I couldn't stop thinking about it long enough to get some sleep. I opened my window and gazed outside at the murky darkness. Crickets and frogs were silencing their songs to make way for the dawn chorus. Bats were flying back to their roosts and the sky was getting light and lighter. One by one, the telephone wires lined up with groups of singing birds. As the Sun rose, the sky turned a bright, neon pink. The Sun lit up the forest until it was an enchanting site. Deer grazed, and the forest was lit up with the breathtaking light. I climbed out of my window and sat on a lawn chair outside. Bees began searching the daisies and other wildflowers for nectar. At about six o' clock, everything was in its normal Summer day pattern except for a few light patches of mist capping the hill. Overwhelmed with the beauty and harmony that I had whitnessed and been a part of, I stood up, took a deep breath and went inside to think about it. That was my best morning ever.
