****** THE QUEST ******
Just as the night grew dark, Strider jumped out of his hiding place in the trees. His Elf friend, Legolas, followed close behind, he too was tracking the band of Orcs. You see, these were no ordinary Orcs, these were straight from the halls of Mordor. Legolas cringed suddenly, pinned into place. Strider whirled around to face his friend. ' What's wrong? ' The Elf scowled. ' Shh.....they're not too far off....' He trailed off. Legolas fitted an arrow to the grand bow he got in the golden forest of Lorien. He nodded to the Ranger in front of him, clad in green. Strider drew his sword. ' You ready? ' Legolas grinned. ' You bet. ' Two earsplitting cries echoed through the Rohan clearing. ' MIRKWOOD! ' ' GONDOR! ' Slashing madly, Strider made his way to the center of the stampede of wild Orcs. He saw another Orc go down to Legolas' arrows. As a hour went by, things were not going as well for the allmighty duo. ' I'm out of arrows, ' cried Legolas, defending himself with a small dagger. Suddenly the dagger snapped in two. ' Ai! ' Strider rushed to the scene, trying to rescue the fallen Legolas. Soon they were out of the deadly situation, but the Orcs still had many more battles to fight with the warriors. They rushed to seek cover in a hollow fallen Elm tree. ' Oh...my shoulder...' Legolas moaned in pain as a poison arrow was taken from his wound and herbs were put on. ' Shh....you are such a baby when it comes to this......' Strider patted his tired friend and laid him in a corner to rest while he took first watch.
