Title: Carrie gets Even
My entire life I was unlike any other girl in the entire world it seemed. Out of a family of seven I was the only girl (besides my mom) and I had just grown up loving sports especially the great sport of football. I even played peewee football when I was younger. Everyone in my small town pretty much got used to the fact that I wasn't going to grow out of being the way that I was.
One night at dinner my parents announced to the five of us that they were going to have a baby. I was extremly happy about this but saddened also. Everytime mom has another kid we move into a bigger house. Me being the second child I knew that we could either stay in the same town that we were in or we would move to the town where they found the best house first.
They found this house in Greenbrier Texas. 35 miles from where we used to live and of course this meant that I would have to go to a different school.
As the summer drew to a close and school started once again. I went on with the year as I had done many years before. I had made plenty of new friends and then year was going great.
One day as I was walking to my 3rd period I saw on the bulliten board where they were havig football tryouts. FOOTBALL TRYOUTS!!!!
I screamed in my head. Just then I knew that I had to go this was great. When I showed up at practice the next day I never expected to see so many boys there who wanted to make the team. There must have been a hundred or so. As they called our names out and our position The coach Called out Carrie Tomilson Quaterback. 'Right here!' I yelled 'Get out there kid let's see what you can do' He yelled back
I guess he hadn't looked up yet to see tat i was a girl. Because when he did he yelled 'Hey hey hey come here.' As he pulled me off to the side he began to explain to me that football was a man's sport and so on. As I walked over to the pay phone to call my mom The baoys were shouting yeah go tryout for the cheerleading squad. Try out for the cheerleading squad not a bad Idea.
Part two will be coming soon
