Title: Tubing a Dangerous Sport
'Hay Ben,' asked Chris,'are you ready to climb back into our tubes and hit the last rapids?'
'Ya, but be careful, these rapids are a lot more dangerous than all the others.' he replied.
Chris and Ben are best friends and have been tubing all day with Ben's father, Mr Hillard.
So they set off. it was a bright cloudless sunny day at Yogi River. The river is 50 feet wide and five miles long. As they turned the coner they stoped to see
a thick wood on the right and on the left, they saw e bike trail 10 feet above the water.
Ben the hat-shot that he is went first, he climed into his tube and set off, clinching tight to his tube because of the cliff/wall.
But then he realized the current went right into the wall. He slamed into it with tremendous force. Chris was on the edge
thoughts of Ben not being able to hold on and being seriously injered, But with all his might Ben held on. He was lucky, otherwise
the currentwould have carried him almost a fourth of a mile to the end of the adventure.
Chris took a deep breath, he didn't know weather to be excited or scared. He started off, but closer to the wall. And
just as he slamed into the wall he notice a tall flat rock that had been almost perfectly camiflashed with the wall. At that very moment he suddenly
lost his tube and he slamed into the rack hard rocky face. Chris was in unimaginable pain. Th water was forcefully and slowly pushing him over the
rock and the rocky suface was scraching him. Then he saw a long tree branch was hanging about a foot above him. He grabbed it tightly, clinching it will all
the strengh he had.
Finally as he was finally over the rock, he let the branch go. The current draged him along the rocky bottem. And just as he was thinking that the river's
current would carry him for miles he felt strong arms strugling to pull him out of the water!it was Ben's father! He had been watching them from the little sand
island in the middle of the river. As he gave one last pull with all his might he pulled Chris out of the water.
When Chris came to his sences he greatfully thanked Mr. Hillard and quietly and cautiously examened his. They were terribly brused and cut but they were okay for the most part.
Ben kindly asked him 'Are you okay, that looked like that was fatil
Chris replied 'Ya, but if I didn't louse my tube it would have been the thrill of a life time.'
