Title: Mother's day poem

Note: this is dedicated to my mother on Mother’s day 2002.

M is for mother our very best friend.
Because she packs my snacks and lunches,
and clean the house too.
She teaches me love and respect.

O is for ouch! I’ve bumped into somebody
And they said scram! Run!
That really hurt my feelings.
So I call my mom
She cures my ouchy boo-boos that never come back again.
She makes me feel better all over again.

T is toys my mother buys for me,
from rattles to spinning tops.
What a mom.

H is for helpful tips when I get stuck.
She helps me do homework
from spelling words to math facts.
Then she sends me to bed
And gives me a smack.

E is for excellent my mom always is.
Because she takes me to piano classes,
And Tae kwon Do.
She teaches me on honesty too.

R is for rock. My mother rocks.
Because she’s done so many things
I like them a lot.

Now look down at the rows of words
That spells my best friend’s name.
