Title: Tiki Island, Chapter 3
'Come on, Kristin! Please tell us!' I pleaded. 'Are you deaf? I just began
the story, dork!' said Kristin. 'Now would you shut up and listen?'
Kristin's always snappy like that. 'I'll shut up,' I promised, and zipped my mouth.
'Well,anyway, one of my classmates, Kelly Peters, wanted to do something
for Teacher Appreciation Week. And she decieded everyone in the class
had to bring five or ten dollars,' Kristin continued. 'And what were they doing?' asked Bradley.
Bradley has short brown hair with brown eyes. Kristin ignored him.
'If everyone brought ten dollars, my teacher, Ms. Fogarty would get a vacationing
book and get to choose where she'd go on vacation. I think she chose Hawaii.I don't remember.'
'So how did you end up with one?' asked Erin and Megan at the same time.
They almost both looked alike, except that Erin had blond hair and Megan had brown hair.
They both had brown eyes. And another difference is that Megan is chubby and a little fat.
'Well, the next day, which was at least 10 weeks ago, after the day
Ms,Fogarty got the book, she happened to have 27 of them
herself, as a gift of the gift we gave her. It was exactly alike. I don't know
if she copied it or what. But it's the same book, every word and picture right.'
'Oooh,' I said. 'Can we choose now!?' I was really curious. Our family never went on vacation,
and I wondered where I could go or not- and Brad, too.
