Title: Tiki Island, Chapter 4

Kristin went inside the house and disappeared, and returned with a small booklet
in her hands. 'Oooh!' I cried. 'Can I choose where we are going? Please?'
'Maybe,' Kristin replied. 'But remember, we all have to agree. And I might
have a place that we might like to go to.' She turned over to page sixty-five.
'What is it called?' asked Jacob. I could see he was as anxious to see it as I was.
'Tiki Island,' said Kristin. 'We could do lots of stuff there!' 'Like what?' I asked.
'Um, let's see.......... we could go wave running! I like that! It's cool!' exclaimed Kristin.
'What do you do?' asked Bradley. 'Uh..... well, I think you ride some kind of jet ski.....'
'Oh, come on!' Megan cried. 'Tell us the other stuff already!' 'Be patient!' Kristin snapped,
glaring at Megan. 'We could go water skiing too!' Kristin read on. 'And swimming..... and you
can even rent your own hotel! And it's all free!' 'Sounds like a great place to
me!' said Kayla. 'Can we go there?' I asked everyone if they wanted to go, and
they all made me all excited when they said yes.
Late that night, I couldn't get to sleep. I guess I was too excited about going
to Tiki Island, and to go water skiing! I've always wanted to try it!
'Maybe you could ride your own boat, too,' I wondered. A lot of questions
lingered in my mind. 'I'll have to ask Kristin tomorrow.'
But little did I know that tomorrow was going to be very disappointing
to Brad and me. And Mom was the one who ruined it all......
Early that morning, I got up way earlier than I usually did. I got up at
about 6:30. I sometimes wake up somewhere around ten.
'Good morning, Jonathan!' said Mom, greeting me. 'You're up early! But, why?'
'Don't ask please! I've got to ask you something!' I cried. 'Kristin said that
we all could go to Tiki Island for a vacation, and everyone wants to go. Can Brad
and I please go too? Please? Please, Mom?' 'No, you cartainly may not,' said Mom.
