Title: How the Zebra Got His Stripes
Once upon a time, There was a great thing that happened. Every animal in the world was born. All the animals were hatching from their eggs. All the eggs were finally hatched, all except for one. It was a very odd egg. The outside was blue and red. All the animals were very confused by this. They wondered what this creature could be. Days and days went by and the egg never hatched. The other animals were tired of waiting so they left the egg all alone.
Later on that night there came a little crackling noise throughout the forest. All the animals arose from their sleep to see what the strange noise was. They all gathered around the little egg. The shell started cracking and finally a little white pony like creature stumbled out. All the animals were shocked because they had never seen a creature like this. There wasn't another one in the forest like it.
All the animals didn't like the new creature because he was different from the rest of them. The little white creature stayed all by his self in the forest. He didn't have any friends at all.
One day he decided to leave the forest and venture somewhere else to find new friends. He walked and walked until he came to a little village in Africa. The village people were surprised at what was before them. One of the little children walked up to the animal and started petting him on the head. The little boy's name was Zeb. He and the animal because best friends. Zeb wanted to name the animal after him, so he named the animal Zebra.
One day they were having fun by playing in the mud. Nearby there were oil workers drilling an oil well. Meanwhile. Zeb and Zebra were still playing in the mud when all of a sudden the workers hit an oil pocket. The oil spewed all over the land covering the boy and the animal in black stripes. There wasn't enough oil spilled to hurt the animal or the boy but the oil wouldn't come off. The stripes were with Zebra for the rest of his life.
From this day on, That is the legend of how Zebra's get their stripes.
