Title: the festive shades of colours-holi
its holi!and the days of joys have come, friends.through this life of huff and puff we always want a day off in a week.but somehow there is work.but for indians holi is the day to forget all the worries,put the work aside and play(even the big ones).yes its a day of enjoyment when each and every indian is playing with water and colours,throwing them at each other ,having fun and enjoying each and every minute of the year which they have lost in working.
on the day of holi we do not actually play colours but at the night we light big fire in almost every house and nieghbourhood.we perform a traditinal ritual called as 'puja'and move around the fire.at this time,the fire burns all the sines and crimes we have committed unless we are true from inside our heart.there is a story behind this.once there was a evil king who thought that he was the greatest and hated the name of god.his son was innocent and believed in god.he decided to kill his son.he told his sister'holika' to sit with him in the fire and this will destroy him totally.but instead his sister was destroyed and the true disciple of god was saved.the next day we play with colours by mixing them in water.how pleasing this colourful site is when even the saddest person in the world is tempted to play.as we play continuesly our apetite grows and delecious food is waiting for us. this is the site in every house.so didnt your mouth water?come during the month of harvest-march to play holi with us,surely.
