Title: TODAY
Today,
Today the sun rises.
Today you can hear birds sing and see flowers bloom.
Today the heat of the sun hits the dry earth.
Today a breeze fills the air.
Today the sun is burning hot.
Sweat drips down my face into a lake on my shirt.
At the beach the sand is burning my feet.
The cool water resotres my body.
Dry off, starting to get hot.
The sun sets and the day ends.
A Storyteller Topic - Kids Are Poets Too
Poetry is a great way to express yourself, whether you're feeling down or on top of the world. There are many different types of poems and remember, they don't have to rhyme.
