Title: Strength to move on

I gave my mind, my heart, my soul-
you walked right through and left a hole.
I gave my time, my days, my nights-
you saw my wrongh, but not my rights.
I put in your hands, my hope and love-
you threw them back with a push and a shove.
I tried to proove i was good enough-
but, no, you didn't like my "stuff".
so, I decided to move on and pray-
we could at least be friends someday.
now I know that it can never be,
thought that you might see the "real me".
but, no, you didn't even try-
so, I got up my strength and said "good-bye".
