Title: my story
i'm not telling you all this because i'm proud of what's happened to me, but maybe some-one out there may find it helpful.
i've just come out of a mental health unit after being there for six months recovering from an eating disorder and depression. it all began a few years ago when i was sexually abused for six months by two of my friends. i started self harming and went on a strict diet. i was already underweight but it wasn't really because i was insecure about my body. i just needed some contrl over my life. since then i have seen two physciatrists, been on antidepressants for three years, away from school for six months and force fed through a drip. i've taken overdoses about 9 times and i've cut my wrists twice. i'm getting better thanks to poetry. i'm not joking, writing my feelings down has probably saved my life. if any-one else is experiencing anything they shouldn`t be please get help. my abusers are in a young offenders unit and my life's now worth living.
