Title: Caramel Comes Home

Caramel Comes Home
She saw a orange cat,
She dashed away like that,
Her thick leash broke,
Her collar snapped,
Why did she run like that?

I couldn't chase no more,
I had to get home by Four,
Or else mother would scold,
Grandma would lecture,
On me being do bold,
To break the rules.

I saw her tail flash,
In a blink with my eyelash,
Behind the vegetable stands,
Scaring a man,
Tearing behind the bushes,

I gave up the chase,
Did my silly dog want to race?
The cat would soon be up a tree,
Caramel would screech to a stop,
Forgetting the cat,
Just like that,
Only concerned about getting home.

Late at night after my apple pie,
I wished I could share it with Caramel,
I stayed up all night,
With no sudden frights,
(Yeah right)
I heard a scratch at the door,
My feet were suddenly sore,
I hobbled and opened it queitly,
And in dashes the big Cat Buster.

And as if phsycic,
She rested her head on my feet,
It soothed the pain,
It was relaxing like,
The sound of rain,
On my hurt little feet.
