Title: my two favourit books.
'All Of Me' and 'Second Star To The Right'
Both of these books are about teenage girls with the eating disorder anorexia nervosa. The books are well written, showing why the girls have developed the eating disorder (its not always to do with wanting to be skinny), the negative ways in which the families react and common misconceptions about this terrifying illness. Both books tell it how it is, they give a thoughtful, acurate insight to treatment and to those who are beyond help. 'All of me', shows the extreme physical effects of anorexia and the devestation it causes. The characters have been well developed and really have you believing everything that they do. These books are harrowing to read and will have you in tears. If you or some-one you know has had an eating disorder, then I can guarrante that you will also cry for them.
A Storyteller Topic - My Book Review
Books are wonderful - they can transport us to worlds we can only dream about. If you've read a great book lately, let the whole world know about it.
