Title: The Discovery- Chapter 5

'Letter substitution...unnnnh... number=letter,unh-unh...' I wiped sweat from my forehead. The hottest, stickiest summer ever recorded in Bridgeton. The fact that I was getting nowhere on breaking the code didn't help the situation any.
I flipped to the next page of 'Breaking the Code- a Guide to Solving Any Message Written in Code'.
'Every other letter... unnnh. It might be worth a try.' I pulled out the rumpled piece of paper that contained the jumbled letters Nagem had published. Taking out a stubby pencil, I circled every other letter. 'I, a, m...' When I was done it looked like this:
Iamingravedanger. Pleasehelpme.
What? I quickly separated the letters- I am in grave danger. Please help me.
Nagem was in danger, too? Now I had two people on my hands.
And another thing-what kind of name was Nagem? It might have been African, but I didn't think so.
Then I saw the light. I knew what that name meant. Can you figure it out?!
