Title: Believe in yourself

Believe in yourself,
From your heart to your head.
You’re you for a reason,
My mum always said.

When things go wrong,
Turn round and smile.
Try making them right,
Though it might take a while

When you are drowning,
Hold onto a rope.
Find a firm rock,
To keep you afloat.

When others are suffering,
Show them you care.
To be able to listen,
Is a gift that is rare.

When others stay still,
Try to move on.
Don’t dwell on the past,
You must try to stay strong.

When fun disappears,
And happiness dies,
Look at the world,
Through young, innocent eyes.

I’m not saying it’s easy,
Sometimes it’s hard,
People play with your feelings,
Like you’re nothing but cards.
