Title: Loganberry Whine
I now have a black-and-tan dashound named Logan, and here's his sad but incredible story. I was 5 years old and was in Oregon with my parents, I was with my Dad at one of his friends' houses and his friend just happened to be a vet and Logan who was Bart at the time had just moved in with him, he had been with two different owners before this one, the owners of his Mom who beat him if he got sick or had an accident on the floor, and the other owners whom he was sold to beat him as well and when they took him to get nuetured they left him at my Dad's friends' office. What's really weird is that in both those families he was abused by the men, and both these men were tall and loud. And at the time 'Bart's' life was in danger, see he lived in a farm-ish area and he killed the neighbor's chickens and ate their eggs, so the neighbor's threatened to shoot him for killing their chickens, and because he wasn't housebroken the vet's wife wanted 'Bart' to be euthanized. When my sister, Marisa and I heard it we went to my Dad and asked, 'Can we adopt Bart?' And he said, 'Ask your Mom!' and at that point we knew we were getting a new puppy, because my Mom can NEVER say no to an animal in need. That's his story, and he's lived with us for six wonerful years.
