Title: Winter to Spring

Tucked inside with a need to be free,
I sit at the window beside the tree,
And think of all the wonderful things,
That I could do in spring.

Run along without shoe or sock,
Where in winter I now walk,
When the flowers all will bloom,
While I'm now tucked inside a room.

I listen to the birds' lovely song,
As I and a friend skip along,
Instead of in a stuffy place,
With a pale, and very chapped face.

I now still wish that it was spring,
For I am bored of everything,
But I know I will have to wait,
I just hope that spring's not late!
