Title: You And Me
You can stand on the edge of the earth,
And see rockets pierce the calm air,
You can calculate your total net worth,
Predict the future of when and where,
You can do all these things for a reason,
And that is that we've fought to be free,
Freedom's only the first step that's begun,
The future steps are up to you and me,
Let your mind soar through the clouds,
Wispy or opaque they might be,
You can decide whether to smile or frown,
But the future is up to you and me,
You can let that freedom so hardly earned,
Sit, get dusty, and let be,
If you do, there is need for concern,
Because the future is up to you and me,
Use that freedom that belongs to all,
To sharpen your views and see,
Don't be blocked by dishonesty's wall,
That wall will hinder both you and me,
Admit that you are indebted,
To those who fought to be free,
Don't let their actions be regretted,
Without them, there'd be no you and me!
You can honor freedom's memories,
Rather than let the world pay fee,
This's up to you, all I say is 'please.'
But mostly, it's up to you and me,
You have your chance, please take it,
To change this world of the free,
I'll start working in a little bit,
But I want to know if it's you and me,
But this is also your choice to make,
If you help or let the world be,
It's a rather big task to take,
We can do it; both you and me,
