Title: The day Voldemort killed James and I
It was a dark stormy night. My husband, James, and I were sitting on a soft rug in front of the fire. We were playing with our one-year-old son, Harry, trying to keep his mind off the raging storm outside. James suddenly shivered.
'Whats wrong?' I asked him.
'Something doesn't feel right. Is the front door open? I feel a draft...'
Just then, the living room door was blown apart. I screamed. A tall cloaked figure was standing in the doorway. James stood up.
'Lily, its him, its Voldemort, take Harry and go....' James was shouting at me.
I scooped up Harry and ran for it. I heard an evil cackle from the room. A blast of green light shone in the air. I turned around to see if he was alright and found myself facing Voldemort.
'W-w-what d-d-do you w-w-want?' I stammered.
'You should guess...HAND OVER THE BOY!' hissed Voldemort.
'NEVER!' I screeched at him. 'I WON'T LET YOU TAKE HIM!'
'Stand aside, you foolish girl, stand aside...'
'No, no, please, not Harry, take me instead...' I wailed.
'Whatever you say...' he said, his voice full of cruel laughter.
He muttered a curse under his breath. I saw a blinding flash of green light and rushing sound hurtling towards me, Harry crying and a high, cold, cruel laugh........
The next thing I knew I was sitting here on a large white cloud, with my husband. Harry is not here though. He survived. Voldemort's curse bounced off Harry back on to him and stripped him of his powers, strength and his body. I have a feeling that Harry will be meeting Voldemort again in his later life, though..........
